FAQs
- What is Progressing Ballet Technique?
Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative conditioning methodology that helps dancers find proper intrinsic muscle control within applicable balletic coordination. Props like yoga balls, Pilates balls, and 10 foot resistance bands are used to challenge stability, prompt correct alignment, and give proprioceptive feedback to dancers. PBT is incredible for building dancer's awareness of their bodies and beautifully translates into ballet class. Additionally, it is a safe, scientifically-backed technique that welcomes all age levels and abilities.

- Am I an advanced enough dancer for personal coaching?
As a late-starter with my share of technical problems, I believe dance training should not only be accessible to all, but should be adaptable for all unique bodies. Whether you are an advanced pre-professional dancer or an adult beginner who just took their first class, Personal Online Coaching is the safest, most encouraging way to reach your unique goals. Additionally, whether you are classically trained or focused on competition and commercial dance, personal coaching is the perfect foundation for all of your dancing.

- What equipment is needed for personal online coaching?
PBT exercises utilize a yoga ball, Pilates ball, and 10 foot resistance band, all of which are highly recommended instruments for any dancer to own. Additionally, I use light hand weights, Bosu balls or wobble boards, tennis balls, and foam rollers in my classes. When you schedule your class, indicate which of the listed equipment you have access to so I can tailor the exercises to your equipment.
- Can I sign up for personal online coaching if I do not have any equipment?
While PBT relies on yoga balls, fusion balls, and resistance bands, Hayden Creech Coaching classes integrate exercises from a variety of conditioning methodologies. While equipment would benefit your training in the long-term, body-weight classes can still challenge your technique, build towards your goals, and advance your proprioception. Do not let a lack of equipment keep you from signing up.
- Do you make refunds?
See our Refund Policy.
- Do I make my user account in my name or in my child's name?
While you may use whichever name and/or contact information is most convenient for your family, we recommend setting up an account in the parent's name and email if the dancer is younger than 13. We also recommend keeping the primary contact information directed to the parent's email account until the dancer is purchasing and scheduling on their own.
- What do I wear for a coaching class?
While you are not required to wear a leotard and tights, you need to dress in flexible, form-fitting clothes. Please ensure your clothing color differs from the wall behind you. Most PBT exercises need to be practiced in bare feet, but you are welcome to start the class in socks.
